A genuine life path 11. Born 20 February 1987:

• Day: 2 + 0 = 2
• Month: February = 2
• Year: 1 + 9 + 8 + 7 = 25, then 2 + 5 = 7
• Total: 2 + 2 + 7 = 11

The final total is 11, so the life path is 11. It stops there.

Three errors account for most of the people who believe they are an 11 and are not.

Reducing the master number anyway. The total comes to 11, the habit of reducing takes over, 1 + 1 = 2 gets written down, and a genuine 11 is filed as a 2. The rule is simply that master totals are left alone.

Adding the birth date as one long string. Take 29 September 1998. Straight across, 2 + 9 + 0 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 8 comes to 47, and 4 + 7 = 11. Done correctly, the day 29 reduces to 11 and then to 2, the month is 9, and 1998 reduces to 27 and then to 9. The total is 2 + 9 + 9 = 20, and 2 + 0 = 2. Treating an 11 inside the date as the life path. Born on the 29th, on the 11th, or in November. A component that passes through 11 on its way down is worth noting, but master number status is decided at the final total only. Born 29 July 1988: day 29 reduces to 2, month 7, year 1988 reduces to 8, total 17, then 8. That is a life path 8 with an 11 in the day.
